MingYao Ding

MingYao Ding is a Principal Engineer and VP of Engineering at Ozen Engineering. After more than a decade at ANSYS, where he was a Lead Applications Engineer, he founded Singularity Engineering, a consulting firm that provided simulation-driven consulting, training, and software solutions to help clients accelerate product development and achieve long-term success. In 2021, Singularity Engineering became a part of Ozen Engineering.

Dr. Thomas Carey
Thomas is an Engineer at Cytovale, where he works in R&D on the microfluidics consumable for the IntelliSep sepsis in vitro diagnostic. He earned his PhD in Bioengineering in the Sohn Lab at UC Berkeley, where his research focused on using tumor-derived extracellular vesicles to noninvasively screen for cancer. During the pandemic, he applied this EV detection work to another lipid bilayer nanoparticle: SARS-CoV-2. Thomas earned a B.S. in Engineering and Biology from Harvey Mudd College and previously worked as a Research Engineer at the BioMEMS Resource Center at Massachusetts General Hospital. When not working, Thomas spends his time with his wife, Sara, enjoying the mountains near his home in Colorado.
